Latest news from TEC for GEARS: international projects, events and innovations relating to machine tools for gear cutting.

Framo Morat expands its technology portfolio to include radial chamfering and deburring of gear wheels

In machining gear teeth, increasingly complex and demanding component geometries require burr-free edges and precise surfaces during manufacture. To meet these requirements, Framo Morat GmbH & Co. KG has expanded its expertise in gear cutting technology and added an RGC 350 deburring machine from TEC for GEARS to its machine park. The radial gear chamfering process can be used to produce defined and reproducible chamfers on the tooth face edges. This not only has a positive effect on the quality and functionality of the components, but is also crucial for the cost-effectiveness of parts production.

Chamfering and deburring – also available as a service

Together with our partner, MFH Technologie GmbH, we offer defined deburring and chamfering of gear wheels as a service.

With our existing capacities, we can process smaller series as well as larger quantities using radial gear chamfering. Of course, we can also carry out sample and test machining.

The advantages for you are:

  • Transparent process – you are welcome to observe the machining process!
  • Predictable costs
  • Gain experience and learn about the radial gear chamfering process
  • Employee-independent planning for deburring
  • Relieve your deburring capacities, your employees can be scheduled for more value-adding tasks!
  • Small, medium and even large quantities can be processed reliably

Service, maintenance and options

Increase productivity, extend service life!

With our services in the area of servicing and maintenance of the RGC 350 beveling machine and contract manufacturing, we give you the opportunity to design the service and maintenance model that is right for you. Simply select the modules that suit your needs.

The RGC 350 can also be tailored to your specific application with our options, most of which can be easily retrofitted.

The advantages for you are:

  • Predictable machine availability – even during maintenance and machine downtime!
  • Most options can be easily retrofitted – the RGC 350 can thus be equipped for any application
  • Training by experienced users of the machine

Review Presentation of the ‘Radial Gear Chamfering Process’/In-house exhibition on 12 December 2018

On 12 December 2018, the newly developed Radial Gear Chamfering process – RGC process for short – and the RGC 350 machine developed for this purpose were presented at an in-house exhibition at our partner, the bs Group.

After a welcome by Niklas Müller, Managing Director of TEC for GEARS, and host Bernd Stoll, Managing Director of the bs Group, as well as a brief presentation on both companies, the RCG process was demonstrated live to visitors.

This allowed everyone to see for themselves the speed and quality of radial chamfering and examine the results on the gears directly. Despite the considerable burrs left by the previous gear hobbing process, the planetary gear on display was chamfered on both sides in just 12 seconds.

Over drinks and snacks, visitors also had the opportunity to chat with our partners, the bs Group, Hainbuch and Mauth Werkzeug-Schleiftechnik, who were also represented on site, in a relaxed atmosphere.
